The joys of open-source
Thursday, June 24th, 2004I really wish I could get Slackware 10. But I can’t. I don’t have the space for it. So, I thought, how do I join the oss revolution without having an opensource os? Why don’t I use opensource software anyway!
So that’s what I did. I got openoffice.org and gaim. They are currently replacing MS office xp and trillian. They are working just fine. And of course, Firefox and Thunderbird are my IE/OE replacements.
I’m going to look into the GIMP and of course either emacs or vi.
