Amazingly, someone sent me an e-mail trying to recruit me as a LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER and SOFTWARE ARCHITECT for a company that makes stuff for the military. No security clearance yet, but I'd need US citizenship, and I guess they're not too bright, since my e-mail happens to end in @sympatico.ca.

School Things

1. Stop wasting taxpayers' money. Also stop crippling our computers.

2. Oh my goodness, I just read the Admissions Information Form for applying to Waterloo. Out of curiosity, since I was reading through the admissions stuff. Marks are no problem. This AIF thing is scaring me. Basically, they want to know more about you. Of course, there's stuff like courses and marks from the last two years of high school (grade 11 and 12). But then, you get a whole six pages to talk about activities during school term, summer activities, personality traits, special accomplishments/distinctions/honours, reading interests, etc. Reading interests. And discuss the book you were reading. .________. I hate writing about myself.

Serving and Stuff

Moses raised another objection to GOD: "Master, please, I don't talk well. I've never been good with words, neither before nor after you spoke to me. I stutter and stammer." GOD said, "And who do you think made the human mouth? And who makes some mute, some deaf, some sighted, some blind? Isn't it I, GOD? So, get going. I'll be right there with you–with your mouth! I'll be right there to teach you what to say." He said, "Oh, Master, please! Send somebody else!" GOD got angry with Moses: "Don't you have a brother, Aaron the Levite? He's good with words, I know he is. He speaks very well. In fact, at this very moment he's on his way to meet you. When he sees you he's going to be glad. You'll speak to him and tell him what to say. I'll be right there with you as you speak and with him as he speaks, teaching you step by step.

Exodus 4:10-15 (The Message)

This was from Thursday's SJ devo. It talked about opportunites and our fears that we won't be able to handle something like that. It's been months and months of trying to figure out how I should serve at TC2005. It's been a toss-up between A/V or captaining. I've been leaning a bit towards captaining but put it out of my thoughts for a while. Now then, Several months later, they still need a lot of people to help out and even extended the deadline. It also turns out that, contrary to what I thought, there's nearly no one who signed up to help out with A/V, so guess where I'm going? Well, I don't know. I'll leave it up to the AFC people, but A/V is my first choice and captaining is second.

Of course, this devo helped. I think I have the same problem as Moses. I'm not the greatest person in the world when it comes to opening up, and I was wondering if I really had any business leading a team. I didn't like to talk with people that much and I'm really really not liking meeting new people, at least not too many at the same time. But then, of course, God says "And who do you think made the human mouth? And who makes some mute, some deaf, some sighted, some blind? Isn't it I, GOD? So, get going. I'll be right there with you–with your mouth! I'll be right there to teach you what to say." Actually, come to think of it, this was kind of the same dilemma I was in when I was fighting it out with myself over whether I should go on the STM or not.

In other news, I find it hilarious that people try to bash the Bible and take verses and other lovely facts out of context. Try doing some research before you try prove that you're smarter than us brainwashed fundie morons.
