Stress

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

It’s funny. I’m an overachiever. I’m one of those people who just absorb everything and get 90s without breaking a sweat. I can just get things. I’ve been getting a 90 average for the past three years without trying. And of course, in an ironic twist of fate, once I start trying and actually need super high marks, my average starts dropping. Oh Whack

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

I have just finished my OUAC university application. I have applied for:

  1. UWO — University of Waterloo, Software Engineering
  2. TCS — University of Toronto St. George, Computer Engineering: Software Engineering
  3. ME — McMaster University, Engineering I: Software Engineering

For my other choices for Waterloo I plan on doing Computer Engineering or Computer Science. UofT makes me dislike them because they are making me pay $30 for a student profile that I need to fill out later. My application should be processed in one to two business days.

The 100 Metre

Monday, November 21st, 2005

Somehow, I’m subscribed two or three times to the Teens Conference and AFC mailing lists. That means that whenever I get an e-mail from them, there’ll be two or three e-mails in a row that are exactly the same, and they all ask for read receiptsWhat anyone does with read receipts is beyond me.. Anyway, the theme for this year’s TC has been decided. It’s “In the Dash.” And following the theme, is the logo contest.

Threadless

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

Threadless is one of the greatest ideas to hit the Internets. Basically, people submit shirt designs, everyone votes on them, and the most popular ones get printed and sold. Usually, Internet shirts are really expensive, especially since they’re in US DollarsWhich, apparently, is $3700 Canadian. And let’s not start on Shipping and Handling.. However, Threadless has an annual Holiday sale, which brings the shirts down to prices that the masses can afford. Each shirt is going for $10 now and they’ve brought out a huge selection of new and reprinted classics. Just in case anyone happens to be wondering what to get me this Christmas, I will mention that the kawaiiness of Pillow Fight makes me smile.
