Learn to make backups

Have you ever run into that really annoying NPC that you thought really deserved an ass-kicking and, much to your dismay, you find that your party of heroes that have slayed countless monsters and villains is unable to dispense much needed killing to these meek little villagers?
I remember using my bomb cannon in Zelda: Wind Waker to lay siege to Beedle’s ship shop. It went up in flames, but no matter how many shots I fired, the thing still stayed afloat.
Today, I was playing Baldur’s Gate II, an older game by Bioware. I hit a snag so I decided to go around exploring and complete a few sidequests. I ended up in the government district again and remembered that in NWN, I killed off an entire town because I was being evil and just because I could.
Knowing that, I placed myself right in the middle of this group of politicians and cast Sunfire and killed everyone around me. Then, the guards started fighting me and half of my party left during the fight in disgust, because there’s alignment in D&D.
But yes, I ended up pulling off a terrorist attack in Athkatla. Good thing I saved before I did that. I think I need to start a new game and be super evil sorcerer, get all of the evil characters, and start terrorising the realm.
American RPGs are a lovely departure from the Japanese ones. Can’t do that in KHII, can you?
I love how my average goes down when I need it the most.
