Trillium

Apparently, some months ago, the Government of Ontario decided to redesign Ontario’s logo and paid a firm over $200000 for it. Now, the Ontario PC and NDP are throwing a tantrum because of it. The PC are trying to make it a huge issue and have even launched a website called SaveTheTrillium.ca. Obviously, both sides are acting like retards. Continue reading

Fun and Games in Sanctuary

So I’ve been playing Diablo II for the past while again. What I love about D2 is the fact that all of the classes are fun to play. Usually, I go for the magic using classes in RPGs because melee classes are usually a bore to play. Not so in D2. the non-magic classes are some of the most fun. This has led me to constantly make new characters and experiment with different builds. Continue reading

Chish and Fips

You’d think that after a few times, I’d learn, but no. Because I didn’t want to blow $20 eating out, I got fish and chips at Kelsey’s. Every time I’ve eaten fish and chips, it’s always ended in me in saying never again. At the beginning, it’s great, with the deep fried fish and the deep fried chips. Those oily and crunchy fishies taste awesome. And then as you continue to eat it, you can feel your heart screaming in agony as you take another bite of oily goodness. And then all you can taste, whether it’s fish or chips, is oil. Oil, oil, oil. Eventually, you’re forced to either stop eating or have your heart drown in a sea of oils.

But, the four cheese spinach dip is full of good tasties. Deep fried pita thing is gold. I would have been happy just eating lots of that deep fried thing dipped in cheeses and spinach. Of course, I could imagine all of the oil from the deep fried stuff and cheese just flowing through the bloodstream. Not a happy thought if you’re into being healthy and living long.

How to Survive a Robot Uprising

I’ve been waiting for this book from the library for a while. I first heard about it watching the author’s talk to Google on Google Video. It was hilarious. Both the author and the audience were questioning and answering about robots killing humans in the most casual tone. Anyway, this book is How to Survive a Robot Uprising by Daniel H. Wilson, a roboticist with a Ph.D in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon.

The book gives tips on how to survive the inevitable robot uprising from robotics experts today. It’s really funny and educational, explaining how robots work and how their evil plans can be thwarted. It’s a pretty short read. The book is pretty small and thin, the text is pretty big, and there are plenty of comedic illustrations of robots crushing puny humans.

I highly suggest this book to people who like funny things and are nerds.

Class of ’06

It’s been interesting. But now it’s the last stop and they’re kicking us off the train.

As much as I hate to admit that this crumbling building has had some sort of positive impact on me, I’d be lying if I said high school didn’t change me. I was the quiet smart guy who didn’t know anyone and didn’t talk to anyone. But all of you crazy tards managed to turn me into a crazy tard too.

I really hope that the whole lot of you that aren’t coming to Waterloo with me won’t fall off the earth and never talk ever again. Don’t go two months into school and wonder who all of those people are on your contact list and delete them. Because if that happens, then high school really will have been even more of a waste of all of our time.

It was excruciatingly long, especially this past year when we were so close. Remember the University Fair? Actually applying for university? Even in February when we were writing up those Grad Profiles and our first marks went in, June was a long way off. Hell, after I got accepted in April, June was still two whole months away.

And now it’s over.
