Trillium

Apparently, some months ago, the Government of Ontario decided to redesign Ontario’s logo and paid a firm over $200000 for it. Now, the Ontario PC and NDP are throwing a tantrum because of it. The PC are trying to make it a huge issue and have even launched a website called SaveTheTrillium.ca. Obviously, both sides are acting like retards.

Dalton McGuinty and the Liberals

I think the biggest concern I have with them is the fact that they threw over $200000 into this logo redesign and I haven’t even seen it. In fact, in their newly redesigned website, the old trillium is still there. The only explanation I can have for this is that they redesigned the website before the logo, the fools. If you’re going to make a drastic change to the emblem of the government, then show it off.

The Opposition

So the biggest problem that John Tory has with the new logo is that it apparently resembles the Ontario Liberal Trillium more, so he accuses the Liberals of trying to turn the symbol of Ontario into something partisan. If you’ve ever seen the Ontario Liberal logo, you’ll know that it looks nothing like it. The only thing that both have in common are the shape. Oh my God they’re both A-shaped now! Obviously, they didn’t realize that you could flip the old T-shaped logo upside-down and it would magically turn into the A-shaped trillium. Brain surgeons.

In fact, the new logo does look a lot more like the NDP logo than the Liberal one. I think they’re just angry because the PC logo and website are really crap. But really, the PC have a lot of issues they can nail the Liberals on, why choose such a trivial one that really need a stretch of imagination to even see? I think only diehard Conservatives are able to see the magically resembling logos.
