Social Notworking

This thing called social networking has been around for a while now, hasn’t it. I guess it started with that whole Friendster thing and maybe even before that with Asian Avenue to some extent. But it’s only been recently that I’ve joined a social network, namely, Facebook.

I’ve found Facebook very interesting for learning about people: what they do, what they’re interested in, the connections that you have, the places you’ve been, among other things. It can be very useful. However, there are some wrenches in that people throw into the system that effectively render the system completely useless. (more…)

Rain Down

I find it kind of funny how whenever it starts to rain, everyone heads for the nearest building and everyone just keeps on going to whereever they need to get by travelling indoors. Ah, the joy of having the all of the math, science, and engineering buildings connected together.

Weekender

I love Thursday nights. It kind of signifies the beginning of the weekend. On Friday, I only have three back to back lectures from 11:30-2:30 giving me the entire morning and Thursday night to sleep or watch whatever it is I’m hooked on and the entire afternoon to do the same thing before going to CCF.

It’s a good thing it’s only the second week and we’re only doing review. That gives me time to catch up. About 50 more episodes to go! In other news, Resnet has turned into a pile of mushy crap. Average speed in DC++ is approximately 5 kb/s.
