No matter what the admissions booklets tell you, do not not take Geometry and Discrete Mathematics. Do not substitute algeo with data management, biology, or whatever it is the universities are letting you crazy kids take in place of it nowadays. I repeat, you must take Geometry and Discrete Math if you want to have a shot at surviving. Yes, your admissions average might be a bit lower, but you’ll thank your lucky stars once you’re in that first linear algebra lecture. Let’s just say it’s not a good idea to go into an engineering program and not know what vectors are.
