All Quiet
I might’ve mentioned before how quiet it is around campus on weekends. After I ate today, I went over to DC to the Softie study room to see if anyone was around. No one was there and I remembered that I needed to check my practice midterm results and hand in my physics assignment. I decided to go to the WEEF lab to check out my results first.
Getting to the WEEF lab is fairly easy from the Softeng room, but when I got there, it was closed. So, I decided to hand in physics. I knew that there was a way to get to Physics through E2 but I didn’t know how, so I went exploring in E2. All through my travelling the buildings were almost empty. Finally, I found the link from E2 to Physics, which was on the third floor (wtf, mans).
After handing in Physics I went back to DC to the Software room and stayed there. I’ve been here since about 1 and now, it’s almost 6. I think my most productive study times today were when I was eating and when I was doing my laundry, during which I think I felt prepared for the midterms I have this week. Ever since I got to the room, I’ve been lying there half awake or going on the Internets.
And now I digress. I’ve noticed that I’ve been returning to res later and later. At first, I went back right after class and played Chrono Trigger or watched anime. Now, I’ve been hanging around the Software room with the other Softies and either working or screwing around. That lasts for several hours. We either work on assignments or do stupid things like watch Hard Gay or play nerd Hangman. When I’m not here, I’m at CCF. I’ve got frosh cell and friday nights.
So a lot of times, I find myself walking around campus at night alone. When I’m at DC, it’s not so bad, it’s maybe about 7 or 8. When I’m at frosh cell, it’s more like 10 or 11. After CCF, it’s 2. It’s weird walking around late into the night. On the one hand, it’s kinda scary, but on the other hand, I realize that I’d never do this and manage to not get shot in Toronto. It’s fun not sleeping. Well, not if you have to work, I guess.
You can tell how bored I am because I’ve managed to type out two huge posts today. Maybe I’ll choke out a third one I’ve been thinking of writing that I never get around to doing.
