Good description of the show, I completely agree with your review. But for a show that was quote “pure gold” to watch, you skipped an entire season of it? xD I suppose with a great beginning and great ending, and no worries about continuity, it’s not necessary to see the journey there. But that’s a lot of gold moments you missed. =)

Aria is one of those weird ones in the slice of life genre. Stuff like Yotsuba appeals to a lot more people because of it’s setting. I haven’t really looked into what the specific differences are. Aria is… Lets say… Really detached from reality…
