I’m amazed at how willing people are to give up their rights and freedoms for a little security. Every time I watch the news, there’s some people that get interviewed at airports about whether this is really inconvenient for them. Futbol 2006
I am probably the least sports minded person one can find. And yet, there’s something about the World Cup that seems to compel me to at least follow along when it arrives every four years, even if I don’t watch all of the games. Sucked In
After years of not joining any of those weird social networks, I joined Facebook. There are two reasons. First, my CC small group sucked me into it. Second, I was going to wait until I got into university to check it out because I heard about it from that guy on the Internet, Bryan Veloso, who was Facebook’s Creative Director and the reason why Facebook doesn’t look like a piece of crap (like Myspace!). If it wasn’t for him talking about it on Avalonstar, I probably would have said “Screw off” to Facebook as well.
Stupid Clock-Phone
Anyone know a good place to get faceplates? Both of the ones that came with my Z200 are cracking pretty badly.
It seems like I have to replace (upgrade) everything once I get into university because everything has something wrong or grossly inferior about it.
Olympiad
So this week is the first bit of the XXth Olympic Winter Games in Torino. The first thing that I noticed when I heard about Torino was ‘where in bloody hell is Torino?’ It’s not one of those huge, well-known cities. It’s not even a small, well-known city. The second thing I noticed was that the media couldn’t decide whether to use Torino or Turin and so they decided to use both. Continue reading
